The grant eligibility check can take a callback request.
Callback requests
If you request a callback, we use your name, phone number, optional email, county, preferred time and property and work answers to respond about insulating your home. No installer or quote is promised, and we do not send your request to installers.
Your welfare-payment choice and related household answers stay in your browser tab unless you separately tick the optional box to include them. You can request a callback without sharing those answers. Unless you attach them to a callback, these answers disappear when you close or reload the page. Our visit-measurement system never receives them.
Callback requests and your consent choices are held in an encrypted AWS database in Ireland. Real requests are scheduled for deletion after 730 days (about 24 months); marked test requests after seven days. AWS deletion may take a few extra days. Recovery backups can retain deleted records for up to another 35 days. Technical logs do not include your contact details or answers.
For a question about your details, or to request deletion, email privacy@rudy.ie and say your request relates to insulated.ie.
Measuring visits
We measure visits without cookies or advertising trackers. Your browser sends which of the two main homepage actions you open and the names of the steps you visit in the insulation check, callback form and Find an installer page (including that you searched, and whether you opened SEAI’s register, but not the county or work you chose), the page path on this site (such as /privacy/) and the address of the website you came from (such as https://example.ie). It leaves out which page you read on that other website and any search terms in its address.
To estimate visits, the server converts your IP address and your browser’s description of itself into a coded value. That description can include the browser name, version and operating system. We store the coded value instead of the original IP address or browser description. The secret key used to create it changes each day at midnight UTC: midnight in Ireland in winter and 1 a.m. in summer. We don’t use the values to link visits across days. A visit ends after 30 minutes of inactivity or at that daily reset.
These coded values, records of page visits and daily secret keys are held in an encrypted database on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in Ireland. They are scheduled for deletion seven days after their UTC day ends; AWS deletion can take a few extra days. Reports show totals, without the coded values or your check answers. Our reports count a callback request only when it has been successfully saved. We exclude known automated visitors and marked site tests from those totals. Visits are not counted if your browser blocks our measurement code (JavaScript).
Browser storage
For ordinary visits, the site does not save information in your browser for later use. For marked site tests only, the browser temporarily stores a test marker in that tab. It keeps review visits out of the totals and is cleared when that tab is closed. It isn’t a visitor identifier.
Serving the site
Amazon’s CloudFront delivery service processes requests, including IP addresses, to serve this site securely. We do not enable its access logs. The analytics service keeps technical records for 14 days to help investigate problems. These records don’t include page-visit details or contact information.
